As an Engineering Manager at SamaCare, you'll lead 5 - 8 engineers across multiple product segments to deliver key initiatives fundamental in growing our business and impact as a company. In addition to being the final decision maker in team-centric technical decisions, you'll also play a pivotal role in recruiting, establishing best practice processes for your team, and helping grow engineers both early and mature in their career.

We don't expect you to have experience with our stack (AWS, Postgres, NodeJS+Typescript, and React) or domain, but we do look for demonstrated mastery in your prior roles and a desire to continuously be learning.

You will

• Work with a mission driven product team
• Split your time between team management, recruiting, and mentorship (80%) and hands on development (20%)
• The above distribution is frequently "lumpy" in that onboarding will likely be a 50/50 split while hands on coding will likely take a significant drop as management responsibilities take over

We are looking for someone who has

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, 3+ years of engineering management
• Is curious and scrappy and able to thrive in an ambiguous environment
• Excellent communication

• 75% percentile or above for candidate's region
