✨ Job Description
As Head of People, we're looking for a leader with a founder mentality who will create an HR strategy, lead a People team and play a key role in building out a world-class team and technology company. You will spearhead our efforts to take R2 from 24 to 90+ people this year and 150+ the next year and you will be key in shaping R2's core values and culture as we continue to scale and ensure that we attract and retain top talent. You will get your hands dirty and work directly with R2's founders and management team, reporting directly to R2's Co-Founder and CEO, Roger Larach.

What you'll work on:
  1. Build and lead the People team, including (i) Talent Acquisition, (ii) Performance Management (OKRs), and (iii) People Operations 2 Develop a strong talent pipeline to enable aggressive hiring while continuously raising the quality bar of those joining R2, with a strong focus on engineers and technical talent
  2. Design and ensure efficient employee interview processes by partnering with department Heads
  3. Onboard employees to ensure smooth setup of payroll, benefits, equipment, and team introductions
  4. Implement best practices to ensure a high level of communication and employee engagement, by planning all hands, employee events, mentorship programs, company offsites, etc.
  5. Assess employee-wide performance by constantly conducting performance reviews and designing performance & compensation plans based on OKRs
  6. Ensure high employee retention by promoting a strong culture, continuous performance reviews, training and development opportunities
  7. Work with Finance team to manage payroll operations efficiently across multiple countries

Who you are:
  1. You can execute, build from scratch and move quickly
  2. You have experience building and growing high performing teams
  3. You are fluent in English & Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
  4. You can work, communicate, and build teams with people from different countries, geographies and cultures
  5. You can think strategically but also have strong attention to detail
  6. You are data-driven

    I'm currently the Co-Founder and CEO of R2 Capital (YC W21). Before that, I spent time with Latin American neobank, Ualá, launching operations in Mexico.

    Pior to Ualá, I was an investment banker focused on M&A and restructuring deals in Latin America.

    Co-founder of R2 Capital
    Grew up in El Salvador. Early data scientist at WeWork, then led analytics at Reef, one of the largest networks of dark kitchens. Started my career helping SMBs in Central America find growth capital.
