As part of the strategy we launched two new business lines in addition to Payments - Fintech and Marketplace. Our first results in Fintech are very promising: ~50 k cards in partnership with Mastercard have been issued, BNPL and Credit Lines products have shown traction, revenue is remarkably growing. Based on successful experiments, we decided to double down on Fintech products development and find a superior leader to join us in the role of Head of Fintech.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Punto Pago Fintech strategy development and defending it on the Board. Among other things the strategy should include market sizing for various products, customer segmentation, financial projections
  2. Strategy execution, including development and scaling of Fintech products (such as Debit and Credit Cards, BNPL, Bills' credit lines), work closely with P&T team, creating and orchestrating GTM-strategies for existing and new products into adjacent markets and customer segment
  3. High-level (both strategic and operational) goals ownership, delivering financial results, P&L ownership
  4. Hiring HiPo A-players to manage Fintech business and operations
  5. Finding synergies in cooperation with two other Punto Pago's businesses - Payments and Marketplace
  6. As part of management board, drive Punto Pago transformation into CA tech leader

Outcomes:
Fintech mission: based on success of Payments business, develop existing and launch new Fintech products in order to double Punto Pago revenue and profit in 3 years, as well as test asset light model and scale it further across CA countries
  1. Punto Pago Fintech strategy is presented and approved by BoD till 2024 YE
  2. Key goals for 2024 (exact numbers will be agreed within first 3 months of work):
    • MAU transactions
    • TFV
    • Key fintech products (Debit and credit cards, BNPL, Bills credit lines) are in progress by revenue and profitability and aligned with the traction model prepared by the Head of Fintech within the first 3 months
    • 7 days user retention
  3. Key goals for 3y horizon:
    • Strategy is approved by BoD, Fintech team is approved and fully mustered with A-Players
    • Fintech revenue and profit are at least equal to the Payments business
    • Punto Pago Fintech products are successfully launched in the key CA markets

Background and competencies:
  1. Solid track record on Fintech products development in LatAm in a leadership role (3-5 years experience)
  2. Technical or natural-science high education is preferred
  3. Skills:
    • Analytical skills, data driven approach to strategic bets prioritization and decision making
    • Digital product mindset (discovery, GTM, cross-functional collaboration, client-centricity, segmentation, etc.)
    • Great communicator - able to work in matrix structure, great in external and internal communication, including setting up partnership with offline players, able to work with experienced Board of Directors and Advisory Board and in addition, explain complex things in a simple and plain manner
    • Experience on team hiring and development - ability to attract and develop A-players
    • English is a must
  4. Personal traits:
    • Proactive - energetic and fully engaged
    • Results driven and persistent
    • Personally committed, acting as an owner
    • Team player with leadership behavior
  5. Fit to culture: honesty & integrity, aggressiveness (moving quickly and taking reasonable risk)
