The engineering team at Mansa currently has over 10 highly-skilled engineers, working closely in specialised teams to shape our financing solutions. They participate in the discussions on the direction of our lending product, manage how we will handle the needs of our ever-growing user base and deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
Our primary language is Typescript from frontend to backend, Next.js on the frontend, and Nest.js on the backend (yes, one letter difference), with a pinch of Elixir. Our platform runs on a Kubernetes cluster hosted on OVH and most of our data is stored with PostgreSQL, using RabbitMQ for internal communication, ELK for logging / tracing and GitHub Action for CI/CD, among many other tools, services and applications.
Your focus will be on our front-end infrastructure, from scaling challenges to data processing ones. We have a very full roadmap ahead, which includes a plethora of new features which, we hope, will establish Mansa as the lender of choice for the self-employed.

The position:
- Collaborate in the selection of technical architectures and their specifications and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs;
- We have a strong emphasis on design and we strive to deliver the best possible user experience. We look for someone that pays attention to detail and is committed to following design best practices;
- Contribute to the implementation of design patterns (performance, maintainability, scalability, reusability, ...) and share your knowledge inside and outside of Mansa, through internal and external talks, conferences and open-source development;
- Being in a fast-growing business, you will play an important role in the team's development. Your ideas and point of view will have a strong influence on the product;
- Design test scenarios: identify and formalise potential errors and inconsistencies (environment management, unit test, test plan, code correction);
- Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability (No, Lighthouse isn't the only reference!);
- Write simple, useful, beautiful and reusable code (SOLID principles);
- Document thoroughly for long-lasting code and team agility;
- Build innovative financial features to provide a delightful onboarding experience and make applying for a loan easy as 1-2-3;
- Take ownership on parts of our service, have a real impact and grow with the company.
About you:
- Tech Stack: TypeScript, React.js, Next.Js, SCSS with styled-component, Flex & Grid, Cypress;
- Good knowledge of Agile and Craftmanship development practices (TDD, continuous integration, code refactoring, etc.);
- A Product-driven mindset: Your focus is on the impact your work has on the end user rather than on the number of lines of code you output;
- Ability to document and democratise selected good practices and architectural principles;
- Ability to work in a team: communication skills, dynamism, responsibility and collective commitment;
- Good knowledge of Server Side and Client Side Rendering and the trade-offs that come with them;
- Entrepreneurial spirit because unless you leave the known paths, no one will notice your footprints.
