Chatfuel is a fun, hard-working, rapidly growing San Francisco YCombinator startup with a mission to fundamentally change the way customers interact with brands and businesses. Our technology gives companies the ability to automate marketing and sales conversations in Facebook Messenger while also gaining deep customer insights to better target and market for future campaigns. 46% of all Messenger bots run on Chatfuel. Some of our largest customers include Adidas, Mercedes Benz, T-Mobile, MTV, LEGO, Netflix, and many others. We're backed by some of the best (and most famous) investors in Silicon Valley and around the world. They think we're onto something special, and we do too.

We are a big startup already and are expanding our presence to Brazil. We are currently looking for an excellent User Researcher (Marketing & Product) to join our team.

What to do:

Qualitative research
  • In-depth interviews, UX-testing [we'll make a great customer journey along the product team]
  • Jobs To Be Done [together with the marketing team we'll look for promising segments and create unique positioning]
  • Building a Value Proposition Canvas - a cascade of user values

Quantitative research

  • External audience slices, external research
  • Find insights and test your ideas on existing clients

Market work

  • Competitive Intelligence: positioning research, direct and indirect competitors funnels research
  • [With an agency] search for insights in social and technological trends, anomalies in the market dynamics
  • [With the agency] competitor matrix and niche research

Building regular management and processes

  • Managing the knowledge base, structuring knowledge about the market and the user
  • Presenting regular updates to the team
  • Before you start working on the feature - data enrichment, after the release - post-evaluation

Who you are:
  • Can conduct meaningful user interviews in English and Portuguese
  • Skilled at structuring data: presentations, reports, CJM
  • Offer strong product and marketing hypotheses based on research results
  • Have experience applying different frameworks in user research
  • You understand the business context and are ready to communicate closely with marketers and salespeople
