About the Role
As Head of BNPL, you will be responsible for owning the product and driving its aggressive growth. You will lead the development and execution of the product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional value to our users. Your role will be key in identifying market opportunities, validating hypotheses, and scaling our marketplace offering in Panama and the wider Central American region.
Responsibilities
• Market Research: Conduct thorough research of the Panama market and broader Central American region to identify customer needs, trends, and opportunities.
• Customer Interviews: Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to gather insights, validate hypotheses, and understand pain points.
• Product Assessment: Analyze the current state of the product, evaluate performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Hypothesis Development: Propose data-driven hypotheses to enhance product features, user experience, and business outcomes.
• Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a clear, strategic product roadmap aligned with company goals and market demands.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and business teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present findings, plans, and progress updates to leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Requirements
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in e-commerce/marketplace, with a proven track record of launching or scaling digital products.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English and/or Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international team environment.
• Market Understanding: Deep understanding of e-commerce trends, user experience best practices, and digital payment solutions.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive product decisions and measure success.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to deliver high-impact products.
• Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Customer Focus: Passion for understanding customer needs and translating them into innovative product features.
• Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile product development environments, with a focus on rapid iteration and continuous improvement.
